About

Philip Radvan, founder of Blue Coast Water

I'm Philip Radvan. I started building for the web in 1996 and founded Blue Coast Water in 1998. Since then I've built the tech behind the first live stream from the summit of Mount McKinley, shipped a portal Time magazine noticed, spent five years on clinical-trial disclosure software, and put an AI image-tagging system into production before the boom.

Today I lead a senior team that has worked with Blue Coast Water for over a decade: software, AI, mechanical and electrical engineers; designers and writers; photographers, producers and directors. AI is built into how all of us work. That's why a small firm can carry the whole machine, and why there's no account manager between you and the work.

When you write, I read it. When you book a call, it's me on the call.

The senior team

A decade together, AI in how all of us work.

Specialists who have worked with Blue Coast Water for over ten years. AI is the team's tool, not the team: that is why a small firm can carry the whole machine between a brand and its customer, and keep it running after launch.

  • Software architects and engineersthe platforms, the integrations, the hard parts
  • AI engineersagents, imagery, recommenders, grounded in your data
  • Mechanical and electrical engineersthe products that go beyond fabric and screens
  • Designersidentity, interfaces, the physical product
  • Writers and copy editorsevery word a reader or a buyer sees
  • Photographers, producers and directorsreal shoots when it matters
  • Models and styliststhe people in the pictures
  • Social media managerschannels run, not just scheduled
  • Product development and sourcing specialistssampling, costing, factories, shipping

The Thesis

Most firms build you a piece. We build the whole machine, and keep it running.

A brand is a promise. A customer is a person. Everything in between (the store, the system of record, the photography, the ads, the shipping label, the AI that learns what your customer actually wants) is machinery.

We've been building and running that machinery since 1996.

One firm that can design the product, build the platform that sells it, generate the imagery that markets it, run the intelligence that prices it, and manage the media that makes it matter. Not a patchwork of agencies you manage yourself. One standing team, one person accountable, AI in how we all work.

30 yrsInside the software and the supply chain it runs on.
1 firmDesign, platform, AI and media. One team, one name accountable for all of it.
